Questions
What's the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?+
A static QR code has the destination baked into the pattern, so it can never change. A Reroutly code points to a short link we manage, so you can change where it goes at any time and we can count each scan.
Can I change the design after printing?+
The destination can change at any time without reprinting. Colors, shapes and logos are part of the printed image, so a new design means printing the new file. The link inside it stays the same.
Do people need an app to scan the code?+
No. Any modern phone camera can scan a Reroutly code. There's no app or sign-up for the person scanning.
What do you record when someone scans?+
Only aggregate information: approximate country and city, device type, operating system and browser. We don't store IP addresses or set tracking cookies on the people scanning your codes.
